In the evening of Thursday the 21st of July 2011, a crew of Tongan conservationists, turtle enthusiasts and a New Zealand film crew set out with two turtles, for the launch of the new community tagging project in deeper Tongan waters.
The staff of Civil Society Forum of Tonga showed their support for the National Rugby World Cup Team Ikale Tahi on Friday 2nd of Sepetmber by wearing a red colour. The CSFT Secretariat send their support to represent all the NGO’s in Tonga. GO IKALE TAHI GO.
Representatives from various sectors of the community and around the Kingdom attended a workshop in early June focused on turtle conservation in the Pacific. The workshop was facilitated by Lui Bell from the Secretariat of the Pacifc Regional Environment Program (SPREP).
